This bright exuberant plant is not only fun to look at but also is used for medicinal purposes. Thought to have originated in brazil this plant contains numbing attributes that have been historically used for toothaches. Of course, you can just grow it because of its interesting looks. Yellow pom pons dotted with brown centers form on whimsical stems.

Growing Instructions: In areas of frost, grow Toothache Plant seeds as annuals. Transplant recommended: Sow the herb seeds indoors 4 to 6 weeks before the last expected frost date. Press seeds into the top of the soil lightly. Seeds require light to germinate (do not cover with soil). Transplant the young plants outside into a prepared site that has had organic compost worked in. Wait until frost danger has passed to plant outside. Once the young plants have several sets of mature leaves, pinch back the stems to encourage more bushy and compact growth.
