Unlike most foxglove varieties, Dalmatian Peach blooms the first year from seed. Seeds are pelleted for ease of sowing. This exquisite color is prized among flower lovers for its wonderful gradient of peaches, pinks, and deep apricot with freckled throats. It makes for a wonderful cut flower and self-seeds well in the garden. Bells form on one side of the stem. Consider planting a tall border of these in your garden for a wow factor.
Planting Instructions: Transplanting recommended. Get an early start and sow 10-12 weeks before the last frost. Do not cover seed as light is required for germination. Bottom water or mist to avoid covering the seed with displaced soil. Upscale your pots and transfer containers after the first true leaves appear 15-20 days after sowing. Harden off and transplant outside after the last frost. If direct seeding: Sow as soon as soil can be worked, only in areas with long growing seasons. Do not cover seed as light is required for germination. Keep soil moist.
